Certificate Verification

How certificate verification codes work for auditors.

Certificate Verification Codes

Every certificate generated by TrainingHub includes a unique verification code. This code allows auditors, licensing reviewers, or supervisors to confirm that a certificate is authentic and was issued by the platform based on a legitimate course completion.

How It Works

Each certificate displays a unique alphanumeric verification code printed in the footer. This code is generated at the time the certificate is issued and is permanently linked to that specific completion record.

When an auditor or licensing reviewer receives a certificate --- whether printed or digital --- they can use the verification code to confirm its validity.

What the Verification Code Confirms

The verification code links to the following information in TrainingHub:

  • The staff member's full name
  • The course that was completed
  • The date of completion
  • The passing quiz score

Why Verification Codes Matter

Verification codes prevent fraudulent certificates and give auditors confidence that training records are accurate. This is especially important during DBHDS licensing reviews, where documentation of staff training must be both complete and verifiable. Staff cannot generate a certificate without actually completing the course and passing the associated quiz.
