Virginia DBHDS requires all Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) working in residential settings to complete a set of core trainings on an annual basis. These requirements are designed to ensure that staff have current knowledge of safety, compliance, and person-centered care practices.
All DSPs must complete the following trainings each year:
TrainingHub includes all 12 of these courses and they can be loaded into your organization's training library with a single click using the Seed Default Courses button in the Training management area.
Each course is structured with multiple learning modules that cover the required content areas outlined by DBHDS. Every course concludes with a quiz to verify staff comprehension, and a certificate is issued upon passing.
The compliance dashboard automatically tracks due dates and completion status for all 12 requirements. Staff receive reminders as their annual renewal dates approach, and administrators have a real-time view of organization-wide compliance at all times.
